AL HOOTA GEO & CAVE MUSEUM, OMAN
The Ministry of Tourism of the Sultanate Oman engaged VERDANDI’s services to plan and realise the Al Hoota Geo and Cave Museum. The museum is located in the Al Hoota Cave visitor center in the Al Hajar Mountains. The concept was developed in close co-operation with the Museum of Natural History in Vienna. The combination of presentation in display cases and interactive terminals for learning-by-doing provides an exhibition unique in Oman.
Lay persons as well as experts can learn and intensify their knowledge.

THE HIEFLAU SNAIL-EXPERIENCE
In order to increase sustainability of the project for the region VERDANDI co-operated with teenagers from Hieflau in developing the detailed concept of the snail-experience.A series of workshops held in the visitor centre offered an opportunity to develop interior design elements, learn a lot about geology, zoology and palaeontology as well as creating slogans, marketing campaigns and souvenirs.
A positive side-effect of these workshops is that the teenagers not only gather experiences in working on a project but also have a head-start into their future working-life.
NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM OF THE PETRIFIED FOREST, LEVOS, GRIECHENLAND
Currently VERDANDI is developing interactive systems for the Natural History Museum of the Petrified Forest on the Greek isle of Lesbos. These systems will help international visitors to understand and value the beauty and the development of the uncountable petriefied plants to be found on the island. On a computer animated journey through time the visitors learn about how the tectonics of the continental plates have led to geological rupture zones, which caused – still today - volcanism and frequent earthquakes especially in the Aegean sea. One effect of these natural catastrophes was the petrifaction of a complete prehistoric forest about 20 million years ago. Visitors can now witness these procedures thanks to modern multimedia technology.
SILVANUM FORREST MUSEUM, STYRIA
VERDANDI designed and produced a new attraction for the 1. Austrian Forrest Museum: The virtual sleigh ride.Visitors can now experience how wood used to be transported into the valleys with wooden sleighs.

HOUSE OF NATURE, SALZBURG
(Uwe Neuhold for Wonderworks OEG)For the House of Nature two interactive Stations have been developed which are part of the permanent exhibition.
One Station offers visitors the opportunity to experience the impact of a meteorite in southern Germany 10 Million years ago. On the second Station the visitors can move the tectonic plates of the earth into the future or past using a steering wheel. Thus the rather dry topic of geology suddenly becomes interesting for young and old.

MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY, VIENNA
(Uwe Neuhold for Wonderworks)With two interactive station a counterpoint in the presentation of exhibits is set in the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Natural History.
By actively influencing environmental factors such as climate, food, etc. the development of the horse from the Eohippus 50 Million years ago to todays highly developed animal can be followed. The "Wheel of time" offers visitors the opportunity to move the tectonic plates into the past or future to understand how the planet is evolving.
